Making the Case for HOA Board Change

1. 127% increase in HOA assessment dues in the last 5 1/2 years

2. Complete lack of transparency in financial matters

Multiple requests for community engagement with the Board regarding details on insurance costs and various items in the budget have been denied, including inquiries about HOA assessment dues and the neighborhood needs.

3. Landscaping in complete disarray all around the neighborhood

Large barren patches of grass and groundcover, along with scattered pebbles and rocks replacing grass, highlight the neighborhood needs that remain unmet. Crumbling retaining walls with no fixes further emphasize the issues faced by the community. Money has been wasted on ripping out all bushes, including deep-rooted ones, despite significant budget allocated to landscaping through HOA assessment dues, leading to disappointing results.

4. Zero engagement by HOA Board members with the community

Board members are completely inaccessible for any discussion or collaboration, which hinders community engagement. Requests for input from Board members, submitted through the property management company, often go unanswered, leaving neighborhood needs unaddressed and concerns about HOA assessment dues unresolved.

5. Lack of prioritization of immediate neighborhood needs

Funds allocated for the pool upgrade have been prioritized over more pressing neighborhood needs, such as landscaping, maintenance, and addressing fire sprinkler leaks. This decision has also involved dipping into reserve funds, which could impact future community engagement and the management of HOA assessment dues for projects like the upcoming garage door painting.

6. Complete disregard and disrespect for members voicing opinions during the open session of HOA Boa

As members of the community, we are all owners who are part of the association and should be treated with the professional courtesy that each person deserves, especially when it comes to addressing our neighborhood needs and discussing HOA assessment dues.

7. Severely lacking communication from the HOA Board on key matters affecting the community

When community engagement is lacking, such as during a front door color change, the lack of communication about initiatives that affect all homeowners can lead to dissatisfaction. Instead of addressing neighborhood needs, homeowners were simply issued HOA violations and fined, highlighting the importance of clear communication in managing HOA assessment dues.
